All this talk of hair caused her to run her fingers through her own hair and shrugged, looking at the strand of red in her hand. "That sounds like a bit more trial and error." Because honesty his first few attempts hadn't gone nearly as planned. "There's nothing wrong with asking for help, you know? They're here to teach us crap." She shrugged. Honestly why else would teachers be around?
"Yeah, Second Year Gryffindor. You?" "Professor Primeaux already told me all the stuff I need to know to make it work. I just... must not be doing it right." He shrugged one shoulder, looking at his notes again and wrinkling his nose. "I have a hard time focusing on this spell... usually I do really good with stuff like this."
He just had to center himself. Do some... stretches, or something. Loosen himself up and get the whole 'art' angle out of his head, because he was pretty sure that was why he was struggling so hard with it. Everyone else had been able to do it almost immediately, even kids who were younger than he. He was the only one he knew that couldn't get it to work right...
So clearly Primeaux had taught it well enough, and it was just him having trouble with it.
Ahhh. She was a Gryffindor. Jaemin had, as of late, started picking up small cues from his classmates that gave him hints as to which house they were in. Not always right, but... sometimes it was accurate. It was fun to experiment with it. Just the way Alice spoke gave him the vaguest of Gryffindor vibes... he'd have to make a note of being right about that.
"I'm a Slytherin," he supplied with a nod. "Second year too."
Much smaller than all the others still, which was depressing... but a second year nonetheless. |
