There was a moment of satisfaction as Nicky felt her foot connect with Hady's leg. But given the Slytherin's stubborn refusal to know when she was beat, Nicky didn't waste much time in pushing herself to her feet and picking up Hady's wand. Dragging her arm across her face to wipe off the dirt, Nicky looked down at the girl.
"I'll give it back if you ask nice," she said, a small taunting lilt to her voice. She took a few steps back from the girl, just in case she had any foolish ideas about lunging at Nicky, and then glanced up in the direction she knew there were observers, even if she couldn't see them.
This was the part where Hirsch stepped in and called it done, right? Nicky was winded, scratched up from her multiple dives, and just ready to be done with all of this.
