Alice beamed and held her hands out, taking the rat. "He's so cuuuuuuute!" She exclaimed and started cooing at the creature in her hands. "I have a pet. But He's a Raven. His name's Diaval." She didn't always carry him around in the event like this where someone had a smaller pet that might be scared of a bird.
"Nice to meet you, Dalia! I don't think i've seen you around before. Did you transfer here?" Her blue eyes looking up from the rat to the girl he belonged to.
Nodding, Dalia searched her pockets for treats, but the cheeky rat seemed to have already found and eaten everything on her person.
"Yeah, he gets everywhere though, he's an explorer." she said, watching Calcifer try to explore the other girl.
"Sort of. From Beauxbatons." Dal tapped her fingers on the cover of her book.
"At the beginning of the year, but I got sick so I had to go home for a bit.." She wasn't going to go into it. The exact details were a little... unpleasant. She'd had a tutor to catch her up on everything though, so she hadn't quite escaped school work.
"All fine now though." she added, her own eyes still glued to Calcifer's cheeky little tail as it disappeared up Alice's sleeve.
