Shaking her head slightly. . . Mason smiled dully at the unimportant-voice-girl, "No boy. . . only stone and mint. . . Mason must find. . ."

The only thing he knew was he wanted those earrings. The word fake didn't even register inside his head. "Gold" he mumbled more emphatically. That was all he knew was he had to get that gold and bring it to the forest! "Must have gold!"

When she spoke to another person nearby his eyes flickered a teensy bit but his hand reached out again "Must have gold!" he mumbled again. He had to get the gold, and get it to the forest!

Nothing was breaking through to him, in his search for his gold!
Scarlett was not stupid, and she was realizing now that the time for trying to talk sense in to these two was long gone. Ugh. She should just go try and find Myers? After all, the one boy was a Hufflepuff, she was sure he was going to be interested to hear about this...

Then again, the curious part of her was starting to creep up, and she was anxious to see what would happen if she DID give the kid her earrings. She was sure she'd be able to get them back eventually...she took the hoops off and handed them to the boy.

"Ok, here you go. Now what?" she asked him.
