She walked into the arena feeling much more confident and happy than she had been last term - and also much more determined. Last year she had failed to win even one duel, and she was certain that everyone watching was expecting her to fail again this year; but she was determined to win at least once. Maybe this duel would be that time.
Her opponent was Char, one of Kitty's dorm mates. They had never properly introduced themselves to each other (which was a shame), but Kitty still knew some things about her and she was quite fond of her. "Yeah, I'm Kitty," replied Kitty with a small smile. "Yes, let's! Good luck Char." She saluted and resumed her position, wand at the ready.
And they were off! She sidestepped to avoid stinging hex, but even so it had been so fast that Kitty could have sworn she felt the air rush past her as the spell ALMOST hit her. Then she pointed her wand at Char and muttered the incantation to a quick cheering charm. |
