Well, Fiyero had been right about the fire, except they were going to be the ones making it instead of the professors. That was ironic... they actually wanted him to set something on fire. That shouldn't be any problem; he'd had loads of practice by now!
He started to draw his wand, but then he remembered this was Muggle Studies class (or at least part of it was). That meant doing things the old-fashioned way with wood and matches. He hoped this wouldn't go like that one time he went camping with his dad and grandpa. They'd gone through almost a whole box of matches before one of them was finally able to light the campfire!
Fiyero grabbed a few pieces of wood from the pile. He didn't think the number would matter much, but just in case, he decided to take five of them like Professor Stewart had done. after carefully arranging the wood, he struck a match. Please don't go out, he silently. He had another match waiting in his hand just in case he needed it, but to his surprise, the wood burst into flames in front of him. Wow, he got it on the first try!
He wondered if they were going to use the fire for a potion when one of his classmates suddenly voiced exactly what he was thinking. He still had no idea what this lesson was about. Were they going to be making a potion without magic? That hardly seemed possible...
