Cornelius was simply holding the cage for Jaemin and being a good friend. He was also trying to be as still as he could so the other nifflers could chew up his underwear. He'd have a real excuse as to going commando.

Nifflers like shiny stuff, right? Cornelius reached for coins in his pocket and dropped one by one into the cage. Come on, Niffly. There's all the shiny in there for you...
....Or it could listen to Jaemin. Whichever was awesome as long as it didn't pee...
