The cage probably wasn't going to be the most comfortable for the niffler, because... well it was bigger than Sniffler was. He didn't even keep Sniffler in there regularly. That one was for when he wanted to take the hedgehog outside so he could get some fresh air while the second year did homework or collected plant stuffs. But the regular hedgehog hutch that was tucked in the space between his and Elliot's beds was much, much too big to be moved...
So the niffler would have to go into the smaller cage to be taken to the larger one, if it got wiggly.
"Just hold the door open in case it tries to get away..." The twelve year old brushed off Corny's talk of owing him, because... this was very important and he had to focus. Jaemin eased the drawer open just a bit and peeked inside, eyes immediately going to the niffler. "Hi... I'm gonna pick you up, so don't bite me or anything, okay?"
The others were still making noise... but he'd already caught his, and it wasn't like they could chase off all the others by themselves. Last year they had just... left on their own. So Jaemin ignored them as best he could and slipped one hand into the drawer, very slowly reaching for the fluffy little creature. He wouldn't grab it... not yet, not right away. Only if he had to.
