There was still so much more the girl wanted to say, but whether or not she said them would depend on how Professor Ichihara responded.
Nana had expected this. She had expected a fight and though half of her would have been disappointed had the young girl attempted to prove herself, the other half was far too concerned with the young woman's accusations.
"I did not lie." She said. "I told you I would take into account your actions, your growth and your maturity and I would give you an answer within the year. Miss Denaker, you take my words and you twist them." Nana sternly reprimanded, unable to keep the steel from her voice. "Through your actions over the course of the last two years you have shown me time and again, your lack of responsibility, and a lack of respect for authority, did you think I didn't notice? How you speak to Professor Draper? How you behave when you feel the people around you are
not up to your standards? It is not only your ability which I need proof of, I will not reward you for misbehaving as you see fit." She reached down into her desk, taking up a shiny silver metal pen and a large file with Miss Denaker's name on the cover.
"Why do you jump to the idea that I attempt to hinder and lie to you? Where does this distrust come from?" Nana asked. She was reminded of Daxton Prince, Aslan Evans and Suri Rider. Of other children in other schools with eyes wide and angry. With her wand she waved over a china pot before conjuring two china cups for tea. She slid one over to Haddie. "What would you like?" This was meant to be a civil visit, after all.
