Time was running out and curfew was creeping closer and closer... and Dot was yet to find a second place to leave her mark for Charms class. The first spot had been so inspired, but she hadn't felt that sparkle of creativity since she left the seventh floor. It was obvious her classmates had been busy, which made it all the more frustrating that she just didn't know where she wanted to leave a bit of cheer and color for someone else to stumble across.

Finally, in one of the long hallways on the first floor, Dot found herself being harassed by a portrait. The older woman had a lot of opinions about Dot's freckles and red hair, some unwanted thoughts about the state of her robes and length of Dot's skirt, and some suggestions about how she could better spend her time.

How bad would it be to graffiti a portrait? She deserved it, after all.

With a fixed smile, Dot pointed her wand at the offending portrait and thought... green thoughts. Slytherin tag. "Figura circle." There was something very very satisfying about seeing the cranky old portrait peering out at her from inside a green circle. "The Snakes were here, old lady." Dot made a rude noise and headed back to class.
