Dalton had averted his gaze from the other boy, but looked back up when he hear him speak. With a small smile, he took the bag from him and turned it over in his hand. It looked like it had barely even been used: a complete contrast to his own, which lay forlorn and slightly forgotten at the foot of his bed. "Are you sure? I - uh, thank you so much."

"Absolutely positive." Ollie nodded while he spoke, hoping the extra agreeing would help Dalton feel okay with taking it. "I have other old ones at home so if anything ever happens to the one I have now, I'll just ask my mum or stepdad to send it over." Though really, Oliver kind of tried not to take all of his books around with him all day so he was sure his current backpack would be just fine.

"Oh, and it's for you to keep, not borrow, so do whatever you want with it."
