Lynley looked down at her stomach for a SECOND before clearing her throat and looking back up. "Oh?" She almost took a step backward from the bump.

Lynley didn't answer right away. She lifted her right hand and examined her nails. Mint green today. Perfectly polished except for her damn pinky. There was a slight chip at the top of the nail...ugh. It would bother her. "I...don't like him. But I can civil if I must." Did that count as "giving him a shot?" Was Lynley hoping that this kneazle would live forever or something? Because if so... yeah. She was in for a rude awakening. Chances were that even IF it lived for a long time, it would still die before Lynley herself did. Nothing wrong with that in Gabby's eyes, but she wasn't huge on pets anyway. "I had a bunny when I was younger. I named her Floppy." VERY original name and everything. "I loved her and was sad when she died. That's the only pet that I've ever had that wasn't an owl." Honestly owls were more of a delivery system than anything else. Whatever, because she was talking about her little princess. "Her name is Valeria." Wasn't it just the MOST beautiful name ever?

Forget Archer being happy that things were less stressful for her because they were as stressful as ever.
