Kennedy was ready to leave. He turned around and almost bumped into the woman who spoke to him at the same time he moved. Green eyes shot directly to her shirt. "Pikachu!" he exclaimed in astonishment. In a second's matter he realized his stupid reaction.
How many women--witches--did you see going around in PIKACHU shirts?
Zero. He's counted.
He could feel patches of red rising to his face. Well. Wasn't this...embarrassing. "Why, yes, they are the best...Sugar Quills...," he said rather quickly, trying to mend things.
Crud.
Should she grab a few more Quills? Kay had already managed to take quite a few but what could she say? They were so addictive! She didn't even bother with wondering that anymore for the guy she had just randomly spoken to definitely noticed her shirt. "I choose you!'' was her instant reply to his outburst of recognising the mouse Pokemon. You know, like Ask would say before battles... "Pikachu, I choose you!''
Kay laughed. "Sorry about that. It just felt right to say it. You're familiar with the muggle world?'' She was always so interested in any witch or wizard that were. She also pretended not to notice the red of his face, reasoning he was feeling somewhat embarrassed. No need to make him feel more that way.
"I agree. I can never get enough of them.'' Was he judging her and the amount of Quills she was going to buy? |
