The fifth year kept on searching, nearly half his body already in the trunk. He glanced back at Dalton to make sure he wasn't getting impatient, although he'd just been sitting there when Ollie arrived anyway, but he wanted to be sure. The boy seemed to be going through something in his head and Oliver wasn't about to interrupt, so he went back to searching. Just then he felt a strap to something and PULLED IT OUT (!!) only to see that it was a child's Superman backpack. His eyes went wide and he immediately threw it in the opposite direction of Dalton. No need for anyone to see he still carried that around with him. Nope.

Oh and then Dalton said something...but Ollie hadn't really heard what because he was too busy arguing with himself about finding the spare backpack already. With his head still inside the trunk he said, "I'm not sure wha- GOT IT!!" Sure enough, he pulled out a simple,hardly-even-used, black backpack. "I knew it was in there somewhere." He stood and stepped around and over the piles of things he'd taken out of the trunk and over to Dalton. "All yours." He was definitely proud of himself.
Either Oliver had a million more things than Dalton did - which was totally possible, because Dalton had about fifteen things to his name - or he didn't have the bag that he was looking for any more. Which was completely fine, he really didn't need it but he didn't want to put Ollie out, or have him feel awkward or -

Dalton had averted his gaze from the other boy, but looked back up when he hear him speak. With a small smile, he took the bag from him and turned it over in his hand. It looked like it had barely even been used: a complete contrast to his own, which lay forlorn and slightly forgotten at the foot of his bed. "Are you sure? I - uh, thank you so much."
