"I like being left to my thoughts, too. It's an admirable trait, Miss Clara." It meant a lot to him that a person could trust their own thoughts enough to be alone with them. Enough that they could want to be alone with them instead of with other people. Rooney smiled and gave the older girl a nudge with his elbow and pointed a little more into the sky above them. "I like to think that the brighter, more isolated stars are people like us." That were good on their own. Good alone when there was such a wide range of people nearby.

"Sort of. Are you?" Didn't she have exams this year? Hmm..
