And he wasn't quite sure getting a new backpack would keep it from breaking again. Not unless it was heavy duty.
He glanced over at his own bed and the trunk sitting in front of it. "Or I might have an extra one, if you want?" Ollie couldn't remember if he'd taken his old one out but it was worth it to check right?
It was such an odd sentiment. Dalton himself never really went out of his way to help people. And that wasn't just because he usually
couldn't help, although that was definitely a part of it. He nodded. "Yeah, thanks again." Because it was surprisingly kind of Ollie, but that wasn't something many people would think.
"Erm." Dalton offered a shrug by way of answer, averting his eyes from the other Slytherin boy. "Just... Just haven't had time. Don't see the point." He carried on studying the bag as a way to avoid looking at Ollie. It was ridiculously battered, but laziness was an easier explanation that being too poor and disliked to ask. As for the other boys offer... Well, the tips of Dalton's ears turned pink as he was forced to look back up. "Don't... Honestly, don't worry about it."
