On every other occasion, the man would've been more than happy to see the Slytherin. A talk between the two usually included mind games and general poking fun at each other - and yes, we know about the hate of the colour orange - but this was much different.
And, you know, he totally was cool. Look at his face. Cool.
Whatever the situation, the boy's presence didn't stop the wide smile from spreading itself across Hirsch's face. "Dante!" he called out, sitting back in his seat, "And here I was wondering if you'd forgotten about me over the summer." Was it too early to starting joking around? Did he even care?
How had he been? Good question. "I've been doing great, thank you. Quite happy to be back." Surprising? It really was. "How are you? Not letting the laziness settle in too early, I hope?" As Cool as ever Hirsch even though Dante could tell something was going on. But since he had no idea what was going on he will just play along. Nope Dante had not forgotten he just took his time coming to Hirsch since well mind games where exhausting. Fun but exhausting. "Like i would ever forget about you. I was just leaving the best till last"
Flattery will get you everywhere.
His laziness had no set in that badly this term. Which was because Dante made an effort to not be that lazy. It was working. "You know me, just being an overachieving slacker. But i never let it settle too early. Only at the end of the year. That's good. Looking forward to another year of dueling. Also i have a proposition for you"
And no it did not have to do with Dueling. Only research.
