Hadley pulled out her wand. A chance to learn how to defy gravity!? Yes please! Well, manipulate the gravity, basically the same. Mostly. Twirl counter-clockwise. Once. "Derivo Gravitatem!" Twice. "Derivo Gravitatem!" Thrice. "Derivo Gravitatem!" She snatched the apple off her desk and tossed it in the air.
And then caught it as it came back down as fast as if she hadn't cast the spell. Okay, attempt number two! "Derivo Gravitatem! Derivo Gravitatem! Derivo Gravitatem!" Each time she twirled the wand around the apple counter-clockwise. Tossed her apple into the air and...was it coming down faster than before?
She caught it, barely and set it down on the desk again. It had probably been her imagination and had fallen at normal speed. Third time is a charm. Heh, charm. Hads performed the spell again, saying the incantation with each twirl of the wand and tossed the apple in the air. Was it also her imagination or did it hesitate a fraction of a second before coming down?
Probably her imagination too.
Hadley glanced around to see how the others were doing and spotted Jaemin and his apple. It was still falling, but more like floating leisurely down. Interesting. She stood up, grabbed her apple and made her way over to the short boy. "Hey, Strawberry," Shortcake, "can you help me with the spell?" Because clearly she wasn't getting it at all.
