Janelle listened as her classmates continued to give their thoughts on the previous question. Then the professor shed some light on what really would and would not affect tea leaf readings. Janelle made some notes as she went along and then stopped when it was deemed mediation time.

Alrightey then. Janelle could always use some time for mediation, especially where Divination was concerned. It always seemed like there were a hundred things going on in her mind all at once. In order to be effective at the task, she would have to banish those thoughts from her head.......or at least keep them at bay.

Janelle sat up straight and closed her eyes. Then she took several slow, deep breaths. She imagined those stray thoughts leaving her brain with each exhalation. Keeping a clear mind was always the hardest part for her. When a thought tried to creep back in, she would kindly escort it back out again. Rainbows and unicorns, yeah? Happy thoughts and then no thoughts at all. Janelle began to tense and relax her muscles from head to toe. That always helped her to get into a more relaxed state. Now if she could only keep it that way until the task got started.
