Ooh. They got to practice now! Good thing she hadn't eaten the apple. It looked pretty cool though. Maybe they'd get to eat the apple later? But she was content to try and make the apple not have gravity. Though the professor had said it was a pretty advanced spell, so maybe she wouldn't be able to do it? That was okay though, because she was only a first year. She shouldn't be able to do all the spells that she tried. But practice made perfect, and she intended to do lots of practice.

Putting her apple in the middle, she first practiced the wand movement, tracing her wand three times over her apple counter clockwise over her apple. She wanted to make sure that she could do it right. When she was content that she could do it, she practiced saying the spell, so she knew she'd have it right.

Now it was time to combine them both. Smiling, and concentrating, Hattie traced her wand over the apple, whilst saying "Derivo Gravitatem" each time. She had done it all right. Or at least she thought she had. So she placed her wand now, and threw the apple in the air. It came straight back down, and luckily she caught it.

"Okay... need more practice" She murmured, before setting to work again.
