It had been sheer coincidence that Rooney had been on the sixth floor corridor, as usually he took his route back to the common room immediately up the stairs instead of walking the castle lines. Today he had eaten a little bit too much and had needed to walk it off, or dance it off or..just find somewhere decent to work as an amphitheatre area. Miss Liv would help him if he asked, but he honestly wanted to find one for her and surprise her with it. Now..he was used to hearing things creak in the castle and usually thought nothing of it...but this was a creak disguising voices.
And the Ravenclaw was in such a mood that he had taken stance on the other side of the door just listening... And planning how he could make this sO GOOD FOR HIM. He already knew that one of those voices was the ungrateful tones of Miss Hadley Denaker and the other...was too deep for it to be a student. And the comments just made him KNOW it was a Professor. Which...he wasn't that much caring about.
But Hadley... HAH.
Maybe she'd properly be thankful for someone giving her their robes when she hadn't her her own instead of shoving them back and storming away like a two year old not getting sole control of the toy car... something that the 14 year old was much to used to with the boys living at home. Toddler tantrums.. His brothers had them down to a T. Crouching to the floor... Rooney lay on the floor in front of the door, poked his wand just into the crack underneath and whispered his casting of "Colloshoo!" at the nearest pair of shoes he could see.
... His line of sight was particularly awful in this gap, okay??
