Shifting in her seat slightly, Gabby put one of her hands on her stomach. She was barely showing at this point but she was excited. Even though she didn't want to get fat, she liked seeing the baby grow inside her. "It isn't," she agreed. "I didn't think it hurt to sort it out now though." Even if she didn't want to do this with someone who clearly wasn't happy for her. That still hurt but she was trying not to think about it.

"I'm not ready to stop working just yet, but I figure I can work until I'm about seven months along and stay off until the baby is a couple months old." So that would be four months in total. In the end she wouldn't want to leave their daughter and go back to work, but she would have things to do and there would be a nanny. "Of course," she added at the mention of someone taking over the liaison position while she was on leave; that was to be expected.
