Kitty relaxed when Professor Yoon told her that her makeup was okay. "Thank you Professor," she said somberly before going to sit in a chair near one of the front tables. Tea was perfectly fine with her Kitty, so she picked up a cup and began to sip it gently.
"Tasseomancy," she answered after taking two small sips. "Is the study of reading tea leaves to try to predict someone's future. Some people believe that it works, but I've also heard that the predictions many times turn out to be wrong. Often when they are right it was just a lucky guess. From what I've read in history, real predictions in Divination weren't made from tea leaves, but from deep trances - such as the ones made by Professor Trelawny about the chosen one and Voldemort's return."
She took another small sip when she finished. |
