Sooooo the time had come where Gabby needed to talk to Lynley about maternity leave. Even though she wasn't ready to stop working just yet, she knew how important it was to have everything sorted out in advance. The only thing was that she didn't WANT to do this.
Beyond the fact that she wasn't ready to give up working until she had no choice there was the awkwardness between her and her friend. Gabby was trying really hard not to shut Lynley out but things weren't exactly getting back to normal. It made her sad because she didn't want things to change.
