 Fluttery Pegasi
Just because Professor Yoon hadn't tried to eat them yet, and put down that thing about being a Presbyterian or whatever and that meaning she wouldn't eat them, didn't mean Hadley Denaker bought it. Because she did not. At all.
Hads entered the classroom like she always did: Wand in the pocket of her robes, hand on it, ready for action in a heartbeat. Today the room looked like a tea room...that was food related...Oh yeah, she was onto you, lady. She was just itching to make them crumpets! And...Oh. Fortune cookies.
Hadley made her way to the front of the room, and took a fortune cookie out of the jar. She eyed the professor suspiciously. "Professor," evil or not, they still tended to be grumps when you didn't greet them in some fashion. Hadley backed away, making sure to not take her eyes off Yoon, and...tripped as she backed into a chair at one of the tables right next to Yoon's desk. Hadley floundered for a second, brushed the hair out of her face and acted like she'd meant to pick this seat. But honestly: Great! She'll be the first one in the pot this time.
With a sigh, Hadley opened her fortune cookie and read it aloud. "A lifetime isn't nearly long enough to figure out what it's all about. Really? Fine..." When did fortunes stop being actual fortunes?
