Not that he'd really be phased by it. Probably just make Drapes all the more smug.
And now he was gloating. Hadley took a deep breath and dug the finger nails of one hand into the arm of the other to control herself. Yeah, that's right Dance-a-thon, gloat. Keep pushing her buttons like a smug little Drapes. Please. Reset the line for her, please. Hadley was determined now to one day get back to teasing him. It might not be this year, but once enough time has passed and the line was reset, she would.
She just had to make it to then and the...Oh he was asking her a question. Hadley loosened her grip on her arm and softly pried her nails out of her skin. They had left deep indentation. But as much as she did just want to get out of her as soon as possible, there was an intriguing puzzle in front of her. On that might actually be useful to know next time she's stuck in a room with him. She sighed, closed her eyes and thought for a minute. "A seize and pull charm?" That might work right?
Oh how long he had wanted to wear that expression on his face. And no matter how badly she wanted to wipe it right off, she couldn't. Tables had turned now and she was on the very brink of detention. It was REALLY great to be king Professor. And of course he could tell that she wasn't happy about it. Clearly with that look on her face, he was surprised she hadn't exploded into millions of little pieces by now. This was rather impressive. Wonder how long she could keep it up for. Only time would tell, truly.
Not that he was really phased by it. Just made him all the more smug, she was right.
He stood watching her curiously. She was all too predictable, yet there was a quality about her that also prevented from being 100% predictable all of the time. She was clever and he was aware of that much, yet she didn't seem to like the rules set down in front of her. Preteenage rebellion. He knew all too well what that was like, and in many ways the girl reminded him of a younger version of himself. Only he was much better looking, if he had anything to say on the matter.
Now the real test here would be to see whether she was willing to put her anger aside to accomplish the task at hand. He waited as she turned to respond to his question, watching as she loosened up every-so-slightly. "Excellent, why don't you give it a try," of course she chose to play, a Ravenclaw could never turn down a riddle.
