Melbourne Johanson wasn’t really that focused on the class at the moment as she watched the water and soil move around her ant-sized body. It was a bit unnerving, being the size of an ant with the streams and rivers of water that everyone’s wands had caused…waiting for a moment for one of the flower limbs to fall she carefully used it as a bridge to walk over closer to the rose bush that she and Colt had been working on.
“I’m going to try and climb this” she called over, though it was impossible to tell if he had even heard her. Ant voices weren’t exactly the loudest of voices…still as she holstered her wand and pulled her dragon hide gloves further up her arms the second year glanced around trying to find what way she could do this. How could she easily get up to the top of her bush without causing any damage to herself or the flowers?
Reaching into her pocket she pulled out the space shoelace that she had there and pointed her wand at it. Drawing two loose circles with her wand she opened her mouth and uttered the spell “Cordage creatus” the shoelace grew longer, wider, thicker and began to shift and twirl as it transfigured into a thick rope. Wrapping the rope around her waist she tied it around herself and waited for a bit…now she’d need to tie it off somewhere right? Or…wait…pointing her wand at the rope she cast a quick lengthening jinx on it and watched as it grew longer and longer. Perfect. It wasn’t long before she had set everything up like a rock-climbing gig for safety that is before starting to climb the bush.
When she reached the top she severed the link at the bottom and tied herself loosely to the top so if anything went wrong she’d only have to fall a bit and dangle by the utterly unfriendly thorns. “lets do this” she squeaked out as she climbed out on one of the limbs and looped her rope around it before dropping down to the limb below. With her feet steadily resting on the ledge of a thorn she pointed her wand at the unhealthy looking limb nearest her. With a swish of her wand she cast “Flipnsnipwitit” and then pointed her wand at her own throat “sonorus” she cast, “TIMBER” she yelled down…now hopefully they heard that. Because yeah, she didn’t want to crush her ant-like classmates, she’d feel bad about it but really…wouldn’t it be their faults for standing there underneath the bushes?
There. It looked healthier. Still, she had more limbs to deal with and more bushes.
