So Mr Solo DID want to be as old as Art was? He nodded. He watched the young man fetch the potion, and Art held it up to the light. "This is the antidote. I need plenty of it around if-if students want to st-start to uhh... try their potion. Thank you Mr Solo!" Especially if this one young man wanted
Art looked down at the young girl in alarm. What had HAPPENED? She was Miss Haddie Denaker, there was no mistaking that, but she was YOUNG. She was supposed to be OLD! And the poor young lady was frightened... Great SCOTT in Asgard! This was not what he had been hoing for the first lesson of term. And Miss Kitty Valentine was there, a reaction JUST as Art had predicted. Utter SHOCK. But he wasn't about to ask all of the other questions... He listened to Miss Moss, who was in a right panic over the effect of the potion. He shook his head once she had spoken "Miss Moss it-it is al-alright, y-you're n-not to-to blame at all." Miss Denaker was just... not particularly gifted in potions. He wasn't about to say that out loud though. Nor could he ASK her what she had done differently... she probably wouldn't remember!
AND THEN SHE WAS OUT! "WAIT!" Art yelled after her. Where was she going? He looked around, half freaking out, because there was NO way he was going to be successful in catching up with her. Not in this body. Thankfully Miss Lynch was there, asking if she would be able to go after her. Art nodded. "Yes, best an older student. And Miss Moss too." He took the antidote to the aging potion out of his pocket and gave it to them. "Wh-when you find her, gi-give her th-this, it's the-the antidote," he said.
He turned to both Miss Kitty Valentine and Miss Darcy and said "No, I th- I think Miss Lynch and Miss Moss will be-be able to get her," he said, though it was very nice of them to offer to go after the young Miss Denaker. He didn't want to lose any MORE students. "We just st-store it in a dark, cool place. Err a-a pantry does the job. But in the body it-it only lasts a few hours, t-twelve maximum if brewed correctly. If-If there's something wrong with it, then it-it mi-might uhhh it might last longer." In which case the antidote was sufficient to reverse the effects. Mr Fletcher was full of questions that Art was very happy answering. Curious minds were a GREAT tool.
Art whipped his wand out and vanished the potion that Miss Abby Valentine had spilled. Clumsy old girl, she was. A bit like Art! And now she was OLD! Art grinned, the potion was WORKING. Why was she asking for help, though? "Are you okay Miss Valentine?" he asked her, hobbling towards her area.
Art watched Miss Stevens use MAGIC to stir her potion, which of course was an option but never one that Art himself went for. He nodded towards Miss Kitty Valentine, and said "I'll have to be m-more specific next time, won't I?"
THANK MERLIN was all Art could think as Miss Kettleburn skipped off, ready to get started. He rubbed his face, glad that was all over. Mr Scabior was taking a bit of time getting his notes done. Art was starting to worry he would run out of time to brew his potion! But it wasn't JUST Mr Scabior, but also Mr Prince, who seemed quite happy standing there and... observing. Miss Darcy hit the nail on the head! He nodded "I did, I t-took some of the potion I made earlier. I d-don't know it it was-was a good idea..." he was still thinking about that, actually...
He let a chuckle out as Mr Baltazar got busy with his work. His methods and his little division made the old man laugh, indeed. And Mr Chev was there, methodically giving himself breaks in between the tortoise shell powdering, which was indeed a good move.
The potion he saw Mr Bellaire put into the vial was... interesting. He just... nodded. "Err...g-good... good work Mr Bellaire," he found himself saying. "M-maybe n-next time we could uhh... could try to uhh... pay a bit more attention to the t-task at hand ra-rather than a little rest, eh?" he said. "Thank you Miss Kennedy," Art said to the young second year who gave him a vial of her potion. He glanced at the colour and saw that it was a nice emerald green, but... no, that Miss Kennedy was not the same one that had come into his classroom. He chuckled. Oh she HAD taken some? "Well y-yes I do believe it did," he commented. "Thank you Miss Guidry," Art said to the next student to hand in her potion. A vial of what looked to be a lovely emerald green. He gave her a smile "Well done." "Thank you Miss Atwater, you did a very good job today." Praise after a first lesson and all. What a difficult lesson for the first years. Art was very pleased with the work they had been able to do, though.
Art was about to thank the next student, who brought up a vial of light green potion, and asked if he could take some for later. Art hesitated... "I-I'll analyse it f-first and then gi-give it back to you if-if it's okay," he said. He didn't want Mr Thomas-Borzekowski to take this potion... but maybe... if would... change colour over time? Art doubted that but stranger things had happened. "Thank you M-Mr Song," Art said, collecting his vial of emerald green potion. But no sooner had he handed it in than he decided to take some of the potion, AND ran back to his desk and... just swallowed it. Just like that. Art closed his mouth and decided that there was NOTHING he could do to have stopped him. He kept a close eye on him though. Him and all the other students who had ingested the potion. There was a LOT of the antidote, and... hopefully this was a controlled enough environment...
First year Slytherin, Miss Diggory was there, trying to cast the scouring charm. Art didn't believe she had ever cast it, so he hobbled over to the young lady. "Try saying SKUR-ji-fy," he said, putting emphasis on the SKUR part.
A FIREBALL got Art's attention, and Mr Jones tried, and eventually succeeded in extiguishing it. "Great SCOTT, Mr Jones!" he commented, making his slow way over to the boy. He heard him ask about the cauldron. Art peered inside but he, too, wasn't sure. Out came his wand, "Reparo," he said, doing the almost swirly shape wand movement. "It should be good now." OOC: Sorry for the late reply. Class will be open for another 24-ish hours, so you still have time to get started, even if it's just ONE MEGA POST. And thank you EVERYONE, I am having a blast reading through all of your posts.
