And James was easily the best Professor at this place so there was that too.

Hidden swimming pool? Isabella frowned at the man. She was...85% certain that her mother would have told her about a hidden swimming pool. "There's not a swimming pool..." she said slowly. Why would he lie about a hidden swimming pool, though? Maybe there was a hidden swimming pool, and her mother had just never found it. If she had a map, she would know...

"What's arithmancy?" she asked. It sounded fancy. And hard. If her choices were Care of Magical Creatures or Arithmancy, she'd probably be better off with CoMC. Then at least she would get to see fluffy animals.
