 Post 5 Mischievous Niffler
In her excitement and awe, Kitty hadn't realized just how loud she had been talking. But she got the hint when Haddie moved a few inches away from her and from the look that she was giving her, as if she were a very unusual alien. Haddie clearly didn't remember her. But before Kitty could try to change her tone; Haddie had darted out of the classroom. "Haddie come back!" But it was too late.
"Should someone go after her? I could go after her if you wanted." Kitty directed this question to the professor. If they were not in the middle of a lesson she would have followed her without even asking, and a part of her wanted to do so anyway.
But in the meantime she quickly went back to her potion to try to finish it. She continued to follow the instructions for her potion, adding the hairy fungus before stirring clockwise. When at long last the mixture had turned purplish brown she added the crushed tortoise shell (while continuing to stir) A strange fizzing sound happened then moments before the entire mixture turned into the color of cream. It was starting to look very tasty now.
But it was hard to concentrate, and Kitty found herself rushing the steps - stirring for two minutes instead of ten minutes and making other mistakes similar. Her mind was on Haddie, wandering the castle - all alone and with no memories of her past... |
