Catch Up
She had been drugged!! What was this? Kye had been drawing a terrible picture to show the ‘anatomy’ or whatever of the rose, when the professor’s words caught her ear. She made note to never trust this maniac of a professor’s offerings EVER AGAIN! Was he allowed to just manipulate people willy nilly??
She was becoming an ant! She could be killed by literally anything at any moment! What if she was stuck this size and had only ever made it through the beginning of her First Year before being offed by a crazy cross-dressing Herbology professor??
Was there no such thing as sitting in a classroom and taking notes? Why did she have to become 'one with the bugs'? And did she just see a worm nearby? Still irked at the professor for what he had done to her, well to everyone, Kye tried to ignore the new trees around her… Rosebush trees. Kye sighed and gave a look of vague annoyance.
At least she had stories to tell later... Then again, who would she tell them to? Everyone was here! The professor started his riddle, and everyone seemed to get it pretty quickly. Well at least I’m not surrounded by complete idiots… That was always nice. Some were a little too hyper for all this, but Kye could understand a bit of excitement. As she looked around at those who had started their incantations, she noticed that a couple students had even been doing nonverbal spells... Did they teach that here??? One of them was a Slytherin, she could see, going by the name Ilia… maybe she could ask her about that later.
She decided all she could do right now was to practice the spell for what it was. “Aguamenti… AguaMENti,” she tried again. THERE. Now she had helped, see?
As the second riddle came out of hiding, Kye’s eyebrows raised. WHAT DID HE MEAN STAY THIS SIZE??
Luckily, Kye knew this one due to the garden she had at home with her mother. She loved their garden, and she had learned a little here and there. This didn’t make Herbology her favorite by any means, but she had an appreciation for it. “It’s Epsom salt,” she stated, still quietly. She shot looks at those who thought it was sand. Sand?? SAND?!
She didn’t want to say anything, since that was pretty much all she was going to know for the day, so she listened as the professor continued with his weird riddles. “Leaves?.. Weeds?.. Thorns?..” she spoke quietly, hoping that one of these was right.. |
