Just because she insisted on being stupidly tall didn't mean he had to be. The small Slytherin looked at her rather petulantly before turning his attention to Hirsch, and standing back as she went into her... theatrics.
It was clear she was playing though, especially with the expression she went right back into afterward, and Jaemin moved to stand next to her at the desk. He too gave Hirsch his most pleading look, with a bright smile before he leaned in toward Haddie and whispered to her. "Happy birthday, by the way. Dunno that I said it before." Quote:

And yet, the man found himself battling back a laugh.
Eyebrows raised, he let the Ravenclaw finish, only letting an amused smile cross his face when she was done. "You sure know how to make demands, Haddie." See, anyone else actin under the guise of professionalism would've probably said something about respect but then again, when was Hirsch ever one of those people? "Happy birthday, by the way. You must be very happy to be kicking off your teenage years." Oh, how he wished he could warn her about the hormones and awkwardness to come.
Ah, will you look at that? Jaemin was here and he was whispering into Haddie's ear. Which, by the way, did nothing for the ideas that the man had in his head about these two from a previous duel but he was going to let that slide. "Hello, Jaemin. Good to see you, both of you."
And now, onto the main topic of conversation: "So you want to learn about Patronuses? Should we get started?" "You're smaller than me, and I'm average height for a girl our age," she informed Jaemin casually, clearly unfazed by his outrage, or hiding it well. She flashed the boy the same innocent smile that was fooling no one who knew her.
The smile just grew wider at Hirsch's reaction. She knew he wouldn't get upset at it and probably find it hilarious, but seeing him actually trying to keep himself from laughing and playing along still pleased her a lot. "Thank you," said with a mock curtsy. "I practice in the mirror every night." And, yes, she was very excited to be a teenager finally! Very excited! She beamed at the man behind the desk and rocked a little in her excitement. "Thank you! I am very happy," she responded at pretty much the same time Jaemin whispered his own birthday wishes to her. Haddie shot the boy a curious look. "Thank you. Why are you whispering?"
And back to Hirsch, nodding so much it was a miracle she didn't give herself whiplash. "Yes, sir. It's why we're here." Duh.
