Or something. It wasn't easy to tell exactly what she needed, but she looked frantic. And as much as James would've liked to ignore it and walk away from the problem here... He couldn't resist. A part of it had to do with the hero complex he had built being inherently Gryffindor... But the other part had to do with being a Professor. It was a part of his job description to help students in need, yeah? Yeah, probably. Probably in one of the unwritten 'implied' parts. And he was a good Professor despite popular opinion.

"You look confused," he called out from down the corridor as he made his way over. In other words, why the heck was she just standing staring at this creepy statue? Not for fun, clearly.
