"Yes, I did," he said, matching her soft voice with one of his own, "I'm deeply sorry to hear the news. If there's anything we can do to help....... any extra time you need off......" His voice trailed off because frankly, he couldn't figure out what else he needed to say. What do you say to something like this? And to someone so young?

Oh.. Okay.. so he had gotten the letter. She nervously tucked the letter in her hand back into her pocket.. Her Aunt was sneaky, making her go to the Professors to tell them what happened, when she had already sent something out.. Perhaps it was the only way she would talk to them about it..

"I don't need any time off." Azura said quickly.. "I.. don't want any special treatment or anything.. None of my friends really knows what happened.." She trailed off slightly.. "I..did want to discuss my involvement in dueling club.. as well..as.. maybe.. some.. defensive spells..I.. seem to have a new found fear of Vampires and forests."

Yes! She would be strong for Hirsch.. She HAD to be.. He didn't need to know she wasn't really eating.. or sleeping.. or crying much..

She HAD to get through this alone..
