Did you have a nice summer?" Hadley didn't so please don't ask... The brand new thirteen year old nodded. "Yes, I will. Thank you."

It was really the smile that gave her away. While the rest of her was maintaining this calm demeanor, her smile was bristling with barely contained energy and excitement. This was it. This was the moment she'd been waiting for. Not for the last year, mind you. But since she was five. Since the idea of being able to shift into animal first rooted itself deep in her imagination. This was it. She hoped.

Hadley entered and took a seat. "I think you know why I'm here." It was pretty obvious and Professor Ichihara was quite smart. "Last year you said we would see about the possibility of starting Animagus training this year." She reiterated mostly to show Nana that she was aware that this wasn't a guarantee, only an assessment, or whatever, to decide whether or not Hadley would be able to start training this term.

That said...please don't crush her dream on her birthday.
