Colt was hearing the professor babble on and on and he frankly tuned him out. He just copied down the steps into his notebook. Hmm so they were making a Aging Potion? He could do with this. Maybe now he could use the I'm older than you excuse to his cousins.

Once he copied it all down and cracked his wrist he went back to work. He went up to the front to get the ingredients. He got his red wine and wondered if he could drink it? Well it is not like the Professor would notice. It seemed like he was in his own little world. Now to find the prune juice. Eeegghh. This was so gross. Why did they need it? This is what grandparents drank. Hence why it was the aging potion. Now to collect the hairy fungus. He carefully picked it up and tried not to touch it. This was so gross. He brought the three ingredients back to his desk. Only a few things grossed him out and hairy fungus was one of them. Now he needed to mash them? Not looking forward to it. He got his tortoise shell, bat tongue and caterpillar. He brought them back and got to work.

He first started measuring his prune and wine juice. He got his cups and measured the 100ml. He saw the prune juice and scrunched his nose up. This was gross. Now to get his cauldron ready. He cleaned it out and muttered "Scourgify!" and it was so clean. Now time to heat it. He put it on his burner and said, "Incendio!" and he saw the fire roar. He added his prune and red wine and waited for the bubbles to appear.

SPOILER!!: Notebook Colt Winchester Fifth Year Snake Aging Potion Ingredients 100ml Red Wine 10ml Prune Juice 2g Hairy fungus, mashed 2g Tortoise Shell, powdered 5g Caterpillar, sliced 1 Bat Tongue, diced Instructions Prepare all ingredients as listed in the ingredients list, weighing and measuring each carefully. Slowly heat the red wine and prune juice and begin stirring clockwise until you can just see bubbles starting to form. (The mixture will be dark purple/brown) Immediately add the Hairy Fungus and continue to stir clockwise for ten minutes. (The mixture will slowly fade to a lighter purple/brown) Continuing to stir clockwise, add the tortoise shell. (The mixture will be a creamy color) After eight minutes, remove the cauldron from the heat and add the caterpillar and bat tongue, making sure to continue to stir the solution in a clockwise motion for five minutes, until it changes to a creamy green colour. As the potion cools, it will turn emerald green. Once it is completely cooled (about fifteen to twenty minutes), you may cease dispense the potion into appropriate vials for storage.
