Lovely™ | Captain Hurted | Ariana's Bane | Resident Antagonist | Unparalleled Delight

There was a lot going on. Not a quite as much as had happened in certain lessons in the past, but enough that made Daxton remember exactly why he did not like classroom settings even a little bit.

Not that he had ever truly forgotten.

Mostly, it was loud. The chatter had started to build and the volume of the class had crept up, making it wholly uncomfortable. Daxton had already put on his stolen-from-Paul-Myers earmuffs to block the worst of it out, including the sounds of those slurping on their probably-poisoned beverages. Also, there was a lot of moving around, and one kid had managed to get tangled in the rose bushes after somehow crashing into them, and roses were turning white left, right, and centre. It was altogether too overwhelming, and even as Blaise came to sit beside him, Daxton was wondering whether he could make a swift exit before Myers could show up and notice. As it happened, Daxton's signature move in class was the Swift Exit.

Turning his attention to Blaise, Daxton was momentarily distracted by the Gryffindor's actions with the teacup. He watched him curiously, wondering if Blaise would drink, but not advising him against it, preferring to see what would happen if he drank. The moment's distraction, however, cost him dearly, and suddenly a great dramatic movement out of the corner of his eye had Daxton spinning in his chair to find the culprit.

He could not hear quite so well, because of the earmuffs, but oh could he see Myers, in all his strange attire. Daxton blinked, then stared, then frowned in confusion, tracking Myers' progress through the classroom and watching his expression change quite drastically, until it was obvious that he was laughing.

The theme of the lesson was now abundantly clear: Alice in Wonderland. Daxton's thoughts were on that, and not on finding out whatever Myers had asked the class. Looking between the professor and the teacup Daxton had nudged away earlier, his suspicion spiked. He reached out, and shoved the teacup even further away, then avoided even looking at it, as though it might get him that was. Instead he looked at Myers, noting that red really was not his colour.

.......... But then kids were yelling dramatically - Daxton did not need to be able to hear them to know that, though the earmuffs could only do so much - and Rooney Bronwyn was up on a table. The entire lesson was already too much too much to much, and it had only just begun. More unsettled than usual, Daxton shot a glance at Blaise, then at the door. He did not know what his Gryffindor associate would do, but Daxton was planning to leave the second he was sure he could do so discreetly, and was already prepared for a Swift Exit.
