This was it! Her first potions class, she wondered what it would be like. Would they be using ingredients with funny names like "Eye of Newt" and "Wool of Bat"? Louise vaguely remembered those were ingredients in some poem her mum had read to her. She didn't know what "Wool of Bat" looked like, but the fluffy stuff her prefect passed around might do the trick.

Not wanting to raise her hand and answer in case she was wrong, Louise quietly sat, thinking. It was a bit frustrating, though, that the rest of the class seemed to just say their answers out loud. She wanted to figure it out herself! She tried desperately to zone out her classmates while she thought hard about the rest of the poem... what other ingredients did it contain? A list started to form in the corner of her parchment as she remembered.

Eye of Newt
Toe of Frog
Wool of Bat
Tooth of Wolf
Scale of Dragon
Adder's Tongue

Adder's Tongue? No... it was some other weird word for tongue. Louise remembered stopping her mum mid-recitation to ask why an adder would have a fork. Could the bowl of pink thingies be the Adder's ~~Tongue~~ Fork?

Of course she realized that she was making assumptions from a very select list of potion ingredients, but she didn't know any other ones and it was always worth a shot. Who knew? She might even be right!
