Hogwarts RPG Name:
Clara Simelanu
Fifth Year
Default

Clara grew tired of staring out the window once more and more students came into the Common Room. That bird she had been observing had also gone away by now. The feeling of solitude turned into a feeling of annoyance, and she no longer wanted to be surrounded by swarms of young ones and old ones alike, chatting on and on. It was all she had been subjected to for the past few days, and she just wanted some quiet.

She stood up and pushed the chair back in, and found her way to the dormitories. Finding the one for her year, she looked around expectantly, but found no one. A few minutes of silence would be good. She didn't think anyone would be incredibly defensive about which bed they would take, seeing as they all looked identical. Clara chose the one in the far left corner, by the window. All her stuff was here already, it's just that none of it was actually organized yet. Oh well. It was empty here anyway. It's not like she was going to be disturbed at any moment.

She had heard that Herbology and Potions lessons had started already, but Clara shuddered at the idea. She had never been good at Potions. Last year was the first year she skipped Potions and replaced it with Arithmancy, which was a huge relief. It wasn't that she was miserably failing. In fact, she was still doing above average. It's just that Clara always left the dungeons feeling sorry for herself. Thoroughly not enjoying lesson after lesson became draining after a while. Herbology always went a little more smoothly than Potions, but Clara barely had an interest in the subject. And since this was year of the O.W.L.s, she wanted to focus especially on the classes she knew she could excel in.

Charms was definitely one, Arithmancy...Astronomy...Clara shook her head, not wanting to think about her class schedule right this moment. She pulled out her wand from her robes and opened her suitcase with all of her materials. She took out all of her non-academic books and placed them gently on the nightstand. Then, she took her glasses and put them on top of the books. Only three books for the term. Should be able to balance themselves and not fall. Looking inside the suitcase, the only other thing worth taking out at the moment was the journal where she wrote her inner thoughts. Placing that under her pillow for now, she sighed and shut the suitcase again. It was all clothes and school materials, which she didn't need yet.

That's about enough cleaning for now. Clara leaned back with a heavy sigh, falling onto the bed already. Hoping she wouldn't fall asleep, she closed her eyes...
