Charlotte got a smile when she came and sat by him. Hello, he liked having company. Especially the company of friends. Except then Rooney came in, and that boy got a brief apprehensive glance. Olly prayed he wouldn't come sit anywhere near them, which was a possibility considering he had heard Charlotte was dating him (though Merlin knows why). Though it seemed that his dislike of Olly won out, something for which Olly was extremely grateful. He opened his mouth to greet his Gryffindor friend when the commotion began.

What was that? Or rather, who? It seemed to be a queen. Also something that was probably from Alice in Wonderland. That wasn't something Olly was too familiar with, but he did understand the concept and this was definitely very Alice in Wonderland-like. Was that...professor Myers? How had he done that to his face? That was very impressive. It must have taken him hours. Olly squinted, trying to memorize it so he could attempt to recreate it. Because it would indeed be very impressive if he could do it. Olly was too distracted to pour himself some tea but maybe that would be happening later. Answering the question, though, that should happen presently.

"Well they're magic, probably." That probably wasn't a very good answer, was it? Of course they were magic. Olly thought for just a moment and then elaborated. "Could it maybe have anything to do with heat from out touch? I know there are toys and cups and things that change colors if you hold them or make them a different temperature."
