~ Mrs. Steve Harrington ~ It be like that sometimes. "Oh no! I'm terribly sorry, Asher. I didn't mean to hit you.'' Rachel didn't like when any creature was upset at her just as much as she disliked when any of her loved ones were. She moved over to pick up her pillow and to pet Asher's head. "I was aiming at your mommy but something's wrong with her. I know you can tell, Asher, just as I can.'' Rachel may be talking to the ferret but those big brown eyes of hers were fixed on her best friend. "Is she sick? Or is she just being moody?'' "She's smiling, Asher!'' For she had just noticed it but as Haddie turned, it became apparent it was a smirk. That very familiar smirk. "But you won't risk doing magic out of school should you be expelled,'' was the brown haired girl's reply. Rachel was rather confident of this.
That had been a silly question to ask. She could see Haddie was not alright but did not push the matter for now since the other girl seemed to be distracted with the thoughts of playing with Barkley. Rachel smiled at the plant mention but wasn't hurt by it. "Mommy let him out so he could play in the yard. Let's go find him. I think him and Asher would be friends right away.'' With that, she led the way out to the yard. |
