Switching arms quickly, she knew the ground would be coming up and she needed to do something! She managed to pull her wand out as she saw the ground closing in. But, the wand escaped from her hand! Noelle closed her eyes, anticipating impact.
Only it wasn't the impact that she would have expected. Instead, she felt a jerk and her body was moved a bit before she landed in the big pile of sand at the bottom of the pole. Not a hard landing, but definitely not an easy one. Her bum would be sore the next day... So would her arm.
That's what you get for trying new things.
Voices were making their way into her head and she opened her eyes to see not one, but two people there. "Oh, hey!" She said and smiled at the two. "Im not the best flyer......" Because that's the first thing you say after falling a hundred feet.
Noelle looked at where she landed and wondered how she didn't land harder. She saw Hopes wand out and raised her brows. "Whatd you do?" It was supposed to come out, how'd you do that, but ... Her words weren't matching with what she wanted to say in her head. She sat up and winced. "Yep, I'm going to feel that in the morning..." And a light chuckle, to make light of the whole ordeal. She was embarrassed.
"You were doing okay." Alright, Olly was just trying to be nice. She was right. She wasn't the best flyer. But it didn't matter. She was just starting, she would get better. Also not the point. Right. His focus quickly shifted back to the immediate problem of her lying on the ground on the Quidditch pitch.
What did he do?
"Nothing..." Oh, she wasn't talking to him. Hey it was Hope. Olly hadn't even noticed her before, he had been too focused on getting to Noelle.
"I think maybe you should go to the hospital wing or something." He was there and ready to help in any way that might be necessary.
