Her first Herbology lesson EVER! And Bec was excited for it. The evening before she had read at least three chapters on the subject and had even picked out a couple of plants that she hoped to own one day. Perhaps she could convince her parents to give her a bouncing bulb one day? Yeah, probably not.

Her school bag hanging over her left shoulder, Bec entered the greenhouse after following the rest of the class. The rosebushes were obviously the first thing she took note of and they looked absolutely beautiful. The first year saw a few of the students touching them and she saw them changing their colour to white. Was that part of the magic or did all roses do that? Of course she had seen a rose before but she had never touched it now that she thought about it.

Not seeing the Professor anywhere, which she found odd, weren’t they supposed to greet their students when they arrived? How rude. Bec did see the blackboard and after picking her drink, the Gryffindor moved to find a seat with a cup of tea in her hands.

“Those roses are really cool, changing colours like that don't they?....i want one.... “ she said as she sat down next to her fellow first year Gryffindor, Fiyero, but kept her eyes on the roses. "Would the professor be angry if i took one?" she whispered so that only he could hear.
