| Hady and Dante (And I seriously cracked up at Dante's thoughts regarding her) Shoe!Girl │ Rebel Ravie │ Confundus Queen │ RP Addict The fact that the conversations had seemed to continue on around her had hardly bothered Brooklyn. It wasn’t her fault the new students didn’t know the way she worked, and it wasn’t her job to teach them. Besides, given the fact it seemed the little first year had thought their head of house was a student seemed to prove that there were more things to worry about than the way they treated her. Like possible points loss for saying things like that. Perhaps there actually were things she ought to teach them, but seeing as nobody had asked she wasn’t about to offer.
Instead, she gave Hady another slight nod and smile as her friend had acknowledged her, lowering her sugar quill as she contemplated the answer to the question. “My summer was okay. I mostly studied ballet and took more violin lessons,” translated as she hadn’t done anything noteworthy, “Although I did go to Miami with Kali, Oliver and Hugo once.” She’d shrugged slightly after that announcement, not considering it particularly something to merit attention. Just a summer trip, and it wasn’t like anything had happened.
She had gone back to her sugar quill by the time she’d noticed Dante’s acknowledgment of her earlier semi-greeting, watching him speculatively as he’d seemed like he was analyzing her. She didn’t know why, but it seemed suspicious. Thankfully he hadn’t chosen to suggest hugs again, just sticking with the smile and nod. It saved her from having to politely, or maybe not so politely, decline.
