Considering the strangeness of his summer and how his year was going so far, Jaemin was decidedly not surprised when he entered the greenhouse and was greeted by a whole ton of roses. The small boy stopped in the doorway, blinked a few times, then stepped backwards to look at the door and make sure he was in the right place. The blackboard should have been a dead giveaway, but... he just wasn't totally sure. It wasn't surprising, but it wasn't what he was expecting either.
The small boy made his way to the very front, dropped his things on the seat closest to front and center, and moved to examine the potted rosebush that was separated from the others. Head tilted, he looked at the flowers, hands still dangling at his sides; they looked like the regular old roses his mom had in her nursery. Were there magic roses? Maybe there were dangerous magic roses?
He leaned in hesitantly and sniffed at one of the larger blooms. It smelled distinctly rose-like and not at all like it should be some strange magic plant... but apparently it was, because when the tip of his little nose brushed quite accidentally against the petal, the entire flower suddenly flooded with white. Like he'd dumped bleach over it.
"...uh oh."
Blinking again, Jaemin looked around and immediately made a beeline back to his seat. |
