Roo took a bite and collected his things from under the tree with every intent to go back to the castle. It was then that he heard someone speaking from the other side of the open space. She was right. It was pretty. But the pears were better than the view.
"Catch!" He called, and tossed a pear in her direction after taking it from the tree.
Hattie was still enjoying the view. She'd seen pictures and her parents had told her about the grounds. But she had really never thought it would be this pretty. She was glad she had underestimated it, because it made seeing the real thing so good. She just smiled to herself as she did a little circle. It really was so pretty. She wanted to remember this moment for the rest of her life. She wanted to remember her very first thoughts of seeing the grounds. And this was it.
And it was interrupted. She looked up, just in time actually, and managed to catch the apple. "Oh... uh. Hi. Thanks"
