Hopeless! She was absolutely hopeless. All summer she had been practicing her cooking skills, under the tutelage of her award-winning, five star chef of a Mom. And she was still utterly useless and hopeless at anything resembling cooking...
Hadley just didn't inherit the cooking genes. At all. In fact she inherited whatever the opposite of those genes were.
She had never really cared before, though. There was always Mom or Dad to cook for them, places to eat out at...the inability to cook didn't really effect her much. Then she became a witch and went to Hogwarts and discovered all the INSANELY. COOL. THINGS. You could do with potions. Like talk to animals. Or become an animal. Or other really neat animal related things. You could even make people tell blab all their secrets and other nifty things like that.
She wanted that. So, Haddie wasn't about to give up just yet. She couldn't use her Mom as a tutor anymore, but she could use Professor Newton. Which is why she had made the trek down to the dungeons from the Ravenclaw tower...That's how badly she wanted to improve her potioneering skills and live up to spot on Professor Newton's list.
Giving Professor Newton's office door a few sharp knocks, Hadley made her way to the purple chair, naturally, and hopped into its comfort.
