Well, he was fed. And he was watered. And he was back at work. Stood in front of a broomstick, hands on hips, staring at it in the hopes it would tell him what it had been enchanted with, without him having to perform any more tests on it. The thing was being stubborn so far. Every counter-charm they'd thrown at it (at all of them) had had no effect whatsoever. It still bucked like an angry Hippogriff when you rode it.
Whatever the spell was, it wasn't showing itself easily. If only it would. Then he could have written up the paperwork, fixed all the others, and moved on to the next case. As it was, he was somewhat going behind a colleagues back to enlist the help of another person to assist him. Merlin, he hoped they had more luck working as a duo on it. Maybe she could come up with ideas that were eluding him.
But talking of Lex, where was she? He'd said half an hour, and it was nearly that. Anderson took his pocket watch from the inside of his waistcoat pocket and looked down at it, frowning. He was honestly surprised she hadn't rushed everything else she had to do and got there before him. Ahh, well. Soon, no doubt. |
