The little incident at the dais had set him behind schedule and his heart was still palpitating at ludicrous speed. But one glance down at Pebbles reminded him of his civic duty to all pet rocks out there looking for their forever homes.

Holding her head up, feigning a tremendous amount of confidence, she continued her walk through the hall, gaze darting around for the people who could potentially block her exit. If she appeared like she was quite casually strolling away with appropriate purpose instead of trying to sneak, she had a better shot, right? "Excuse me, please," she said, trying to side-step them. She'd be leaving now... ...when distractions happened in the form of a student.
A Ravenclaw female one at that...which never ever boded will for the astronomer.
"Where are you off to Miss..." Er...just Miss for now it seemed. "The Sorting hasn't finished yet." Which meant that it was more than a bit premature to be departing the Great Hall.
