The little girl rocked back and forth on her heels, jiggling her coins a little. Everything else about her was proper and in place.
Her father would have killed her for rocking back and forth and making coin noises but this girl was bored already. Yep.. bored... She looked around, trying to figure out what to do to pass the time while waiting in line when she spotted the girl in front of her. She seemed older than her by a lot but she was not a good judge of age. As soon as she started speaking, her Italian accent was very thick. "De line is very loooong, no?" She was trying to make simple conversation to pass the time waiting. Hearing someone speaking in what appeared to be a thick Italian accent, Esme turned. She was faced with a younger girl who seemed to be rather fidgety based on the fact that she was rocking back and forth and jiggling her coins around like nobody's business. "Yes, it really is but it will move fast." So she didn't need to worry about having to wait long for food.
Looking closer at the girl, she could tell that she must be a First Year though there was a chance that she could also be in Second Year. "This is your first time going to Hogwarts, right?" If so Esme would help her out as much as she could so that she felt comfortable and knew what was going on. Hogwarts could be scary to those who had never been there before; she could remember her First Year as if it had happened yesterday. |
